About Me: Q&A
Why Oncology?
There is not one specific reason that drove me to oncology. Cancer has personally changed the lives of many people close to me. So, when I reached a certain point in my career and wanted a change, I decided to dedicate my time to learning a new specialty that would satisfy my intellectual curiosity and allow me be autonomous.
What is the best part of your job?
I really enjoy the fact that I am able to spend time with my patients. I am able to use not just my education and clinical acumen, but my personal experiences to form a connection with my patients. The autonomy is extremely satisfying.
What is it like working with your PCI doctors?
In oncology, we often have to deliver bad news to people on a daily basis. We see people during their worst moments. This will change your personality. It has a way of humbling you. Our physicians are not only brilliant, but they are humble and understanding, which makes for a great work environment.
