Corey Tolbert, RD, LD
Corey Tolbert, RD, LD, serves as the Nutrition Services Manager at Piedmont Cancer Institute (PCI), where she leads the development of the organization's Nutrition Services Department and Nutrition Support Program. Working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, Corey is committed to enhancing the comprehensive, patient-centered care provided to individuals and families throughout their cancer journey.
With nearly 30 years of experience as a registered dietitian, Corey brings extensive expertise in oncology nutrition, nutrition support, patient education, quality improvement, and program leadership. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside multidisciplinary care teams to improve nutritional outcomes for patients with cancer, develop evidence-based nutrition programs, standardize clinical practices, and create educational resources that empower patients and caregivers.
Corey earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and has dedicated her professional career to advancing the role of nutrition in cancer care. Prior to joining PCI, she provided leadership for oncology nutrition services within the Piedmont Health System, helping expand and strengthen nutrition programs across the continuum of care.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, clinical expertise, and commitment to excellence, Corey is passionate about helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. She believes nutrition plays a vital role in overall health and is dedicated to educating, supporting, and empowering patients to make meaningful lifestyle changes. Outside of work, Corey enjoys staying active through fitness, preparing nutritious meals, and spending quality time with family. Her personal commitment to healthy living inspires both her professional work and her desire to encourage others on their journey to wellness.
